About The Position

Personnel Analysts are responsible for performing comprehensive personnel functions for a state department, division or agency. Work may involve employee relations, recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, employee development, benefit administration, staffing and payroll. Under direction, Personnel Analyst Is perform entry level professional personnel work as described in the series concept in one or more functional areas in Human Resource Management or a State agency. This position will be located in the Las Vegas HR office of DETR. The primary responsibility of this position will be to process and make determinations on FMLA, PFL, and CAT leave requests. This will include maintaining logs, corresponding with employees and supervisors, and tracking FMLA usage. Other duties include overseeing records maintenance for personnel and payroll actions; providing quality customer service to both internal and external customers; coordinating community outreach at offsite job fairs; and participating in HR outreach sessions for DETR staff. In addition, the incumbent will assist the EEO officer with ADA reasonable accommodation requests, clerical work, and background processing as needed.
