About The Position

This is a professional position responsible for assisting the managers in the daily operation of the Human Resources Office. The incumbent is responsible for assisting in all general areas of human resource management and specifically in personnel record management, recruitment and selection, learning and development, and employee relations activities.

Requirements

  • Ability to plan and organize work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

  • Two (2) years of administrative experience in a professional office setting

  • Preference will be given to candidates with a working knowledge of the People First system, knowledge of State Personnel System Human Resource practices, or insurance benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Works with management ascertaining and organizing staffing needs for recruitment, classification, employee relations, and payroll purposes.
  • Gathers and analyzes data necessary to develop appropriate human resource policies and procedures.
  • Serves as team leader or team member on various project teams.
  • Coordinates and directs the work of other human resource employees.
  • Prepares human resource/labor relations reports and documents.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
