As the Personal Trainer, you will enrich lives each day by assisting, monitoring, and instructing residents in the safe and effective use of equipment and weight machines in order to meet their personal fitness goals and needs. You will conduct fitness consultations and assessments in order to help develop individualized fitness programs that ensure resident safety and follow each resident's care plan.

  • Assist, monitor, and instruct residents in the safe and effective use of fitness equipment and weight machines.
  • Conduct fitness consultations and assessments to develop individualized fitness programs.
  • Ensure resident safety while following each resident's care plan.
  • Instruct group exercise classes, including strength, balance, stretching, and yoga in both standing and chair formats.
  • Promote and sell personal training and group fitness classes.
  • Commitment to Touchmark's values: excellence, teamwork, hospitality, integrity, and compassion.
  • A four-year college degree in an exercise science-related discipline or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • Current personal training certification through a NCCA accredited organization is required.
  • At least five years' experience working as a Certified Personal Trainer.
  • Experience personal training older adults/seniors and corrective exercise.
  • Experience working with aging adults and/or special fitness populations.
  • Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • Ability to work on your feet most of the day and lift 50+ lbs.
  • Experience instructing group exercise classes in a retirement community setting.
