Tier 1 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Administer Jump Start consultations to YMCA Members Averaging 7-9 paid personal training sessions a week (1 hr., ½ hr., small group training) Help drive the usage of our technology based platforms Interpret assessment results to clients and based on evaluation and client's goals, Design and implement Fitness Programs Effectively communicate prices of Personal Training options that align with members goals Support and follow YMCA policies and decisions and answer member questions about the YMCA and its programs. Attend staff meetings as directed. Tier 2 – Commission of 4% of packages sold for one-on-one or partner personal training ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Administer Jump Start consultations to YMCA Members Equivalent of 10-15 hours of (qualify for incentive program) paid personal training sessions a week (1 hr., ½ hr., small group training) Help drive the usage of our technology based platforms Interpret assessment results to clients and based on evaluation and client's goals, Design and implement Fitness Programs Effectively communicate prices of Personal Training options that align with members goals Support and follow YMCA policies and decisions and answer member questions about the YMCA and its programs. Attend staff meetings as directed. Tier 3 – Commission of 5% of packages sold for one-on-one or partner personal training ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Administer Jump Start consultations to YMCA Members Equivalent of 16-20+ hours of (qualify for incentive program) paid personal training sessions a week (1 hr., ½ hr., small group training) Help drive the usage of our technology based platforms Interpret assessment results to clients and based on evaluation and client's goals, Design and implement Fitness Programs Effectively communicate prices of Personal Training options that align with members goals Support and follow YMCA policies and decisions and answer member questions about the YMCA and its programs. Attend staff meetings as directed. LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES: Inclusion Critical Thinking & Decision Making Emotional Maturity PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Physically able to demonstrate proper exercise form Visually able to observe clients to assure correct training methods, techniques, and positions. Able to read exercise and testing equipment accurately Able to physically demonstrate each area of the fitness assessment, including lifting 35 and 85 pound barbells without strain The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION: I will support the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region’s commitment to child abuse prevention by: Reporting any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor Following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children Completing all child abuse prevention training as required Reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor The YMCA has zero tolerance for abuse. We will report all suspected and/or allegations of abuse to the state and federal law. CERTIFICATIONS: Complete Hazardous Communications, Harassment Prevention, Blood-borne Pathogens and Child Abuse Prevention training and attend Living Our Cause/Engaging our members at time of hire Maintain CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer every year Maintain First Aid and Oxygen Certification every 2 years Blood-borne Pathogens/Child Abuse Prevention every year Maintain HIPAA every year Maintain national accredited Personal Training Certification

Requirements

  • Certified in one or more of the following: ACE – CPT, NETA – CPT, AFAA CPT, Cooper Institute CPT, IFPA – CPT, NASM or equivalency
  • Successful completion of online or in class required certifications
  • Y-Certification remains at level 1 until National Certification obtained
  • Current CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, and Oxygen Administration certification.
  • Complete Hazardous Communications, Harassment Prevention, Blood-borne Pathogens and Child Abuse Prevention training and attend Living Our Cause/Engaging our members at time of hire
  • Maintain CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer every year
  • Maintain First Aid and Oxygen Certification every 2 years
  • Blood-borne Pathogens/Child Abuse Prevention every year
  • Maintain HIPAA every year
  • Maintain national accredited Personal Training Certification
