Requirements

  • Nationally recognized Fitness or Personal Trainer Certification and/or Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field that meets LFC Management approval
  • Heartsaver AED

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma
  • If assigned to teach water classes, additional certification may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Develops personalized fitness programs for individual clients.
  • Safely and effectively instructs and leads individuals through exercise routines.
  • Creates and builds working relationships with members and staff.
  • Attends monthly staff meetings, annual in-services, and vaccines as required by the hospital Kaweah Health.
  • Informs management of problems, or complaints regarding the facility.
  • Tours and enrolls new members.
  • Initial evaluation and program design for members.
  • Accounting for monthly payments and deposit.
  • Coordinates bi-weekly newsletter.
  • Opens and closes the fitness rooms.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
