The Central Branch YMCA seeks an enthusiastic and attentive part-time Personal Trainer to join our team by conducting personal training sessions and fostering relationships with YMCA members while walking them through a safe and effective wellness journey. Nurture: Help our members grow primarily in body while also tending to mind and spirit. Transform: Through your guidance, help members see past what they thought possible. Collaborate: Design effective workout routines not for but with our members to best fit their needs and goals. Requirements
- Minimum of 18 years of age or older.
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, PE, or other health-related field required.
- Excellent communication, supervisory, and organizational skills.
- Excellent human relations skills and enthusiasm.
- Basic math skills and demonstrated recordkeeping proficiency.
- An elevated level of organization, flexibility, and ability to handle difficult situations effectively.
- Must have valid certification including: NSCA, ACE, ACSM, AFAA, NASM, NETA, ISSA or obtain ACE/YMCA Strength and Conditioning certification prior to training clients and be able to maintain certifications and other training requirements for the position as outlined.
- Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
