About The Position

Personal Trainer – Active Aging & Osteoporosis Program (Wisconsin Orthopedic PT) Location: Hartland, WI Wisconsin Orthopedic Physical Therapy is growing our fitness offerings and hiring a Personal Trainer to work primarily with adults 55+ as a complement to our one-on-one PT services. Our clients are often 65+, retired, and motivated to stay strong, independent, and active for the long haul. If you love working with older adults, value relationships over “gym influencer” culture, and get excited about evidence-based programs, this could be a perfect fit. Who you are Passionate about working with older adults and helping them stay strong, confident, and independent. Professional and mature in how you present, communicate, and show up to interviews and sessions. Comfortable coaching in both one-on-one and group settings. Open-minded and coachable, with a genuine interest in learning clinic-based, evidence-informed approaches. Schedule & compensation Flexible schedule with strong demand and growth potential. Role can build toward full-time as classes and caseload grow. Compensation: $30-$50/hr Opportunity to discuss additional incentive/bonus structure as the program scales.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified personal trainer or exercise professional (NASM, ACSM, ACE, NSCA, etc.)
  • Degree/background in kinesiology, exercise science, physical therapy assistant, or related field preferred but not required
  • Experience with: Older adults, active aging, senior fitness, or post-rehab clients Group classes or small-group training
  • Willingness to complete Onero certification.

Responsibilities

  • Lead one-on-one and small group fitness sessions for adults 55+ focused on: Strength, balance, mobility, and fall prevention
  • Safe progression of exercise for those with pain or medical history
  • Deliver and grow our osteoporosis-focused Onero program (training provided).
  • Collaborate closely with physical therapists to: Reinforce home exercise programs Support clients transitioning from rehab to long-term fitness Help shape and grow a new program line as demand continues to increase.
  • Provide an excellent client experience every visit: professional, warm, punctual, and prepared.
