Job Summary: Responsible for building fitness attendance through maintaining an impeccable environment, developing relationships, and designing/ implementing safe and effective exercise programs for an active population with diverse abilities. Essential Responsibilities: Maintain presence on the Fitness Floor, building relationships with Members Instruct members on proper use of equipment, offering tips and ideas on improving their workout regiment Recommends personal training as a way to enhance the Member experience Evaluates member fitness level and health conditions Develops exercise prescriptions, creating individualized exercise programs Explains exercises in detail and suggests alternatives, as needed Performs research on new exercise techniques and stays informed of latest trends Monitors Fitness Center, assisting Members and guests Maintains a clean and healthy environment in the Fitness Center by dusting and wiping equipment Participates in all activities and special events when needed Conducts Member interviews and orientations Provides blood pressure and heart rate screening Regularly assesses the condition of exercise equipment, reporting any damages to Director Assumes all laundry duties including- washing, folding and putting towels/sheets away Inputs all training sessions in the Northstar Point of Sale System Attends required trainings, workshops and staff meetings Assume other duties as assigned by Fitness Director Knowledge and Skill Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee must occasionally lift/move up to 405-70 pounds Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience. · This is a Part-time position.
