Requirements

  • PCA / PSS Certification or equivalent preferred, however, we do provide educational opportunities to obtain certification
  • Direct care experience preferred
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature
  • Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Dedication to upholding high standards of care

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with non-medical, activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Provide meal planning, preparation, and feeding as required
  • Provide medication reminders
  • Foster meaningful connections with residents, offering emotional support, companionship, and a listening ear
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to contribute to resident care plans and provide input on individualized care needs
  • Monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of residents, promptly reporting any concerns or changes in health status
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided and any observations, contributing to the overall assessment of resident needs
