24 Hour Personal Support Specialist (PSS), Evening - Rumford Community Home
About The Position
Rumford Community Home is seeking a Part Time, Personal Support Specialist (PSS) to join our team! Up to $1,250 Sign-On Bonus! This position pays $18.25 per hour. Central Maine Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving 400,000 people living in central, western and Midcoast Maine. CMH's hospital facilities include Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital. Requirements
- High School or GED preferred but not required.
- Must be eligible to obtain PSS within first 120 days unless already certified.
- Student must complete certification program and be placed on the State Registry within four months.
- Residential Aide must have Residential Care Specialist 1(RCS-I), or Personal Support Specialist (PSS) Certification. May be trained within four months of employment.
- Six months to one-year experience preferred.
- Must be tolerant, patient and treat residents with dignity and respect.
Responsibilities
- Assists with the overall care of residents in cooperation with other facility staff as assigned by the charge person/Director of Clinical Services.
- Works in close cooperation with other team members to give personal care to assigned residents as needed.
- Assists in any way possible to provide a safe, homelike, and comfortable environment for the residents.
