About The Position

Personal Support Specialists (PSS) provide hands-on assistance with daily living for older adults with functional limitations and people with disabilities. PSSs provide services related to a member's physical requirements for assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs). A PSS provides these services according to an authorized plan of care, which can be different depending on where and who they are working with. The PSS (Personal Support Specialist) is responsible for providing excellent, resident-centered, personal care. This care includes assistance with showering/bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility. In addition, the PSS will help with meal service, laundry, housekeeping and other tasks as assigned. The successful candidate is a compassionate, patient caregiver with high energy and a strong desire to make a positive difference in the lives of our residents. Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Personal Support Specialist Certification or willingness to be trained as a PSS
  • Experience or desire to care for older and/or chronically ill individuals
  • Focus on high-level customer service
  • Ability to work independently and with flexibility
  • Good judgment and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to create a safe environment and maintain positive customer relationships.

Responsibilities
