Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related insurance experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Provides daily support to Client Advisors and personal line accounts.
- Completing applications for new business policies and renewals.
- Sending applications to companies.
- Checks all lines of personal insurance for accuracy and rates for new and renewal business.
- Updating computer records; issues invoices for agency bill policies.
- Updating the computer upon receipt of policies.
- Using various company websites (quoting, MVRs, etc.)
- Checking renewal premiums for remarketing rate comparisons and quotes.
- Maintaining all supplies from companies, including company forms, cancellations, and endorsements for the department.
- Learning all Personal Lines service standards and procedures, including daily service and building relationships with clients and with insurance companies.
- Developing and maintaining Client Advisor confidence in job knowledge, judgment calls, and awareness of current industry trends and developments.
- Documenting all correspondence, following up for necessary information updates, and keeping the client files organized and up to date.
- Thoroughly completing assigned policy audits.
- Works together with the team and with other departments, such as Marketing and Claims, including conferencing with the Producer or Client Advisor to discuss the execution of strategies.
- Manages PTO to work with departmental needs.
- Volunteers to back up and/or assist others as needed.
- Displays commitment and initiative to meet department and agency education goals as set forth in the organization’s education program.
