About The Position

The Personal Insurance Sales Executive at Travelers Insurance is responsible for managing and developing a group of agency assignments to optimize growth potential. This role involves collaborating with independent agents, exceeding growth and profit objectives, and utilizing sales tools within a consultative framework. The position is remote and does not involve managing others, focusing instead on building relationships and driving sales through effective agency diagnostics and strategic marketing plans.

Requirements

  • Five years of sales experience or insurance industry experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Agency Diagnostics.
  • Advanced ability to influence sales and convince agents to represent Travelers products.
  • Advanced relationship management skills and superior interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated integrity and advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate technical savvy and ability to learn new systems quickly.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a consultative sales environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a mid and/or moderately complex group of agency assignments.
  • Optimize growth potential of a core group of Travelers independent agents while prospecting and appointing new agencies.
  • Exceed or meet year over year growth and profit objectives using Travelers sales tools.
  • Develop competitor intelligence and collaborate with team members on product, pricing, and agency management decisions.
  • Provide substantial support to owned agents and lead presentations and appointments.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell Travelers products and share information with other Sales Executives and agents.
  • Complete strategic marketing plans for territory to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Diagnose agencies' interests and motivate agents to succeed.
  • Initiate systematic marketing processes within each agency to attract and retain new business.
  • Assist agents with system/platform issues and provide necessary training.
