About The Position
The Personal Care Worker (Caregiver) assists older or disabled tenants in Meadow Wood Assisted Living who are functionally, physically, or socially impaired. This role provides support with activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), medication assistance, health monitoring, dining, and participation in tenant-centered activities. Caregivers help maintain tenant independence while ensuring safety, dignity, and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Dressing, grooming, bathing, personal hygiene, mobility assistance, and care of devices (eyeglasses, hearing aids, mobility aids)
- Housekeeping, laundry, mail delivery, internal and external transportation support
- Supports tenants with self-administration of medications and documentation
- Observes and reports changes in tenant condition, conducts room checks, monitors safety hazards
- Assists tenants with meals and encourages independence
- Participates in tenant-centered activities and responds appropriately in emergencies
- Maintains cleanliness in common areas, replaces supplies, performs minor maintenance
