About The Position

The Personal Care Specialist (PCS) position is a driving role, seeing patients in both homes and facilities. Traveling is required within Ohio's Hospice South Region, encompassing counties such as Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clinton, Fayette, Greene, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, Warren, and other surrounding areas. This is a full-time days position, offering a choice of shifts: 5-8hr shifts, 4-10hr shifts, or 3-12 +4hr shifts, all totaling 40 hours per week. Ohio's Hospice provides superior care and services to patients at their end-of-life journey, seeking individuals with a heart for hospice. Personal Care Specialists are valued for their expertise in attending to patients' personal needs with dignity, compassion, and empathy. The role involves providing quality nursing assistance to patients, assisting families with patient care, and collaborating with a team that relies on input from the close relationships developed with patients. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and care
  • Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather
  • Valid Driver's license with Safe Driving Record
  • State minimum automobile insurance coverage

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Nursing Assistant with the State of Ohio preferred
  • one year of experience preferred
  • Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPNA) preferred within two years of employment
