About The Position

A Personal Care Provider is responsible for assisting with daily living activities. They work closely with residents in a respectful manner by providing assistance in a dignified, trusting environment. Duties and Responsibilities Essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Perform resident care with an awareness of dignity and individuality, with understanding and concern Maintains cleanliness of all areas within Crossroads facility including the cleanliness and maintenance of equipment and supplies Responsible for resident care as defined by Crossroads Management and the Resident Services Director Responsible for answering emergency and routine calls via the pendant call system Serves as a team member in the preparation, set-up and serving in the dining room Makes beds and checks resident rooms for trash and soiled laundry Notify supervisory personnel of any situation pertaining to quality customer service, safety, productivity, security or any other situation in the building, including resident rooms, that may have an adverse affect Demonstrate understanding of care terminology, equipment and aid residents in all facets of daily living Ability to document codes using iPad. Other tasks as assigned At Delta, we seek to meet the needs of the entire county for the care of your loved one whether it be assisted, independent living cottages, or higher care within a safe environment in our memory care building. Crossroads provides the best option for seniors in and around Delta County. We are conveniently located within two minutes of the hospital. At Crossroads we seek to inspire every resident, every day. This is particularly true for our residents with Alzheimer’s or dementia. We work with each resident to encourage them to engage in activities that promote expression and maintain their cognitive skills. Our families are regularly part of the activities with our residents. Our philosophy of care follows a very customized approach focused on comfort, dignity and self-worth.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age, in accordance with Federal Law and Standards
  • Passionate about working in an elderly community and exceptional customer service
  • Maintain a flexible schedule in order to meet the needs of the department
  • Ability to work independently, effectively manage own time and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Effectively communicate with staff and elderly residents
  • Ability to read, understand and follow through with verbal and written instructions
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and processes
  • Must meet a required work schedule and adhere to company attendance policies
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening, criminal background investigation, and reference inquiries
  • Consistently required to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, grasp, twist and turn, talk, listen and hear.
  • Ability to lift 30-50 pounds
  • Medium physical strength required to perform work
