About The Position

At Frederick Living the Personal Care – Nurse Aide provides direct care to residents, supporting their independence and individual needs. This role ensures a safe, comfortable environment while assisting with daily living activities and collaborating with the care team.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
CPR and First Aid certification required
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Demonstrates respect, integrity, compassion, and excellence
Commitment to person-centered care practices
Ability to work collaboratively and maintain positive relationships
Flexible schedule with willingness to work extra hours as needed

Nice To Haves

Prior experience caring for older adults preferred

Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transferring
Support residents in getting to and from activities and meals
Assist with eating and drinking, including meal and beverage selection, cueing, and hands-on feeding
Offer snacks and hydration to residents between meals as needed
Record and report residents’ eating habits to the coordinator or charge nurse
Encourage resident participation in leisure activities, walking programs, and social events
Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and death procedures
Maintain resident records daily, including weights and vital signs, in accordance with Frederick Living's policies
Administer medications as defined by medication procedures and physicians’ orders
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents
Change bed linens and manage resident laundry as needed
Respond promptly and positively to resident requests, family inquiries, and other personnel needs
Follow proper procedures in emergency situations and obtain additional assistance when necessary
Respond to resident emergencies promptly
Monitor resident location and notify the Nurse Supervisor/PC Manager if a resident cannot be located
Assist with all assigned tours of duty
Abide by the organization’s code of conduct
Perform other related duties as assigned
