As a Personal Care Attendant, you will deliver care, companionship, socialization, and support to our clients, assisting with their needs to ensure comfort and safety. The Personal Attendant (PA) is primarily responsible for assisting elderly or disabled adults with daily living activities at the individual’s home, hospital, or other facility. At least 80% of the PA’s time must be dedicated to direct personal care of the client. No more than 20% of the PA’s time may be spent on tasks not directly related to client care, such as taking care of pets, watering the lawn, clipping flowers, or cleaning areas not used by the client. This position is exempt under Wage Order 15 from meal and rest periods but is not exempt from overtime per the Domestic Workers’ Bill of Rights.
