Job Purpose: Provide personal care services and support in the comfort of the client's home. This is non-medical Direct Care. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide personal care services of a non-medical nature, according to an approved plan of care Supports clients by aiding with the Activities of Daily Living or ADLs (bathing/dressing/toileting/hygiene/meal prep/assistance with meals/mobility monitoring/medication reminders Helps family members or primary caregivers care for the client by teaching appropriate ways to transfer, turn, and re-position if necessary Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy client environment by following agency standards and procedures Updates job knowledge by participating in industry educational opportunities Protects the home care agency by adhering to professional standards, agency policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements Enhances service reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments This description is not meant to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities.
