About The Position
The Personal Care Attendant position is designed for individuals who are reliable, compassionate, and eager to assist others. This role involves working in various locations across Westmoreland, Allegheny, Fayette, and Washington Counties, providing essential support to individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities. The primary goal is to help these individuals maintain their independence in their homes, which can be a rewarding experience for the right candidate. The job offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work various shifts, including 8-hour and 12-hour shifts, as well as weekends as needed. As a Personal Care Attendant, you will be responsible for a range of tasks that may include bathing, haircare, dressing and undressing, meal preparation and assistance, laundry, light housekeeping, medication management, appointment scheduling, and providing reading, writing, and communication assistance. Additionally, you will engage clients in social and leisure activities, ensuring they have a fulfilling and enjoyable experience while receiving care. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality care and support to enhance the quality of life for those you assist.
