About The Position
The Personal Care Attendant (PCA) Caregiver position is a vital role within our community, focusing on providing direct care to residents while ensuring their dignity, independence, and choice are upheld. As a PCA, you will be responsible for observing residents' physical and mental conditions, reporting any changes to the appropriate health services personnel, and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs). In this full-time position, you will engage in various essential functions, including taking vital signs, documenting care services, and assisting residents during meal times. You will also be responsible for performing first aid and initiating emergency response procedures when necessary. Your role will involve greeting residents and visitors, supporting community fire safety and infection control practices, and assisting with housekeeping and laundry services for residents. Participation in training, in-services, and staff meetings is also a key component of this position, ensuring that you remain informed and skilled in your caregiving duties.
