Job Overview The PCA III oversees and coordinates all PCAs’ work and ensures they comply with all licensed providers' and other staff members’ orders. In the absence of the PCA Supervisor, this position will seek direction and oversight from the Center Manager and Nursing Supervisor. The position will be an IDT member and will work with the PCA I, II, and assigned RN/LVN/HCC LVN using the PCA III communication tool to gather information to share at the IDT meetings. This position will help support PACE participants’ engagement in satisfaction surveys, IDT discussions, physical and mental well-being, and overall cost containment of participants’ supplies. Identify and train on competency for PCAs. Assist PCA Supervisor in coordinating team assignments and workflow, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations for PCA staff.

Requirements

  • Certified Nursing Aide education and training.
  • Nurse Assistant Certificate by the State of California, Department of Health and Human Services - Aid and Technician Certification.
  • High school diploma required, or some college education/credits preferred.
  • California Food Handler Certificate of Achievement upon employment preferred, must be attained w/in 30 days of employment.
  • Prior experience working with physically or mentally impaired older people is strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese, depending on location, preferred.
  • Experience working with the elderly patient population.
  • A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
