Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
About The Position
Discovery Therapy, company that truly cares for our family of therapists, is seeking Personal Care Assistant to join our Early Intervention team! Multiple locations in Philadelphia available! Services will be for children with a variety of developmental and/or learning disabilities that are in the need of Personal Care Assistance Services. We have full-time, part-time, and contract/per-diem positions available. 1099 Contractor Position Monday - Friday The Personal Care Assistant, RBT will work directly, one-on-one (1:1) with children in preschools, daycares or home environment. Generally, the kiddos we help typically receive support for 3-7 hours each day. The Personal Care Assistant will work 1:1 with the child to ensure their success in preschool, daycare or home environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma REQUIRED
- CPR and First Aid certifications REQUIRED
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting children with behavioral challenges and self care needs in 3-5 age group PREFERRED
Responsibilities
- One-on-One (1:1) support for kiddos
- Providing assistance to children who could have behavioral challenges, medical/physical limitation or a neurological diagnosis
- Implementing instructional strategies
