Requirements

  • A genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Ability to follow a written Care Plan and document daily activities.
  • A strong commitment to punctuality and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High School Diploma, or GED preferred, or any relevant certification.

Responsibilities

  • ADLs, such as dressing, bathing, and personal hygiene.
  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to client preferences and dietary needs.
  • Provide medication reminders as directed.
  • Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a tidy environment.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding, if necessary.
  • Provide transportation for grocery shopping, errands, and medical appointments and social outings.
  • Offer meaningful companionship, engaging clients in conversation, reading, recreational activities.
  • Monitor the home environment for fall risks and assist with safe transfers (e.g., from bed to chair).
  • Observe and report any changes in the client's physical, mental, or emotional condition to the supervising nurse or office staff.
  • Follow individualized care plans accurately and efficiently.
