About The Position
University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide quality care and support to our clients in Royal Oak, MI. In this role, you will assist individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being while promoting independence and dignity.
Requirements
- Previous experience in personal care or a related field preferred but not necessary
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and assisting clients
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable and punctual with a compassionate attitude
- Ability to pass background check
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Help with mobility and transferring clients safely
- Prepare and serve meals according to client preferences and dietary restrictions
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Monitor and report any changes in clients’ condition to supervisors or healthcare professionals
- Follow care plans and adhere to all company policies and procedures
