About The Position

Triangle is looking for a dependable individual committed to assisting youth with disabilities to fulfill their leadership potential in the South Boston Areas. The qualified candidate will assist youth with disabilities in providing personal care and needed accommodations to ensure they are able to participate in EPIC programming, in addition to supporting staff with the execution of programming.

Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of experience in human services, that includes experience working with youth with disabilities.
Experience assisting people with disabilities with their personal care.
Candidate must have a valid driver’s license or dependable transportation.
Candidate must pass a pre-employment CORI and Driving Record Check.

Responsibilities

Assist EPIC youth with personal care routines as needed (toileting, eating, etc.)
Support youth by providing needed accommodations to ensure their participation in EPIC programming
Work with EPIC staff to assist in preparing for programming to make sure the needs of all of EPIC’s young leaders are being met
Supervise youth during workshops, volunteer opportunities, and recreational activities
Represents Triangle and EPIC to family members, community organizations, and partners
Provide Program Participants with instruction in performing community service projects and other programming
Ensure that all personal care assistance provide to EPIC youth fits into EPIC’s self-advocacy model by ensuring that all assistance is youth led
Maintain proper care, use, inventory and storage of supplies and equipment
Identify and assist in curriculum development and execution
Participate in all required training
Intervene in minor behavioral issues
Participate in team meetings
Assist in reaching programmatic goals set by EPIC Executive Director
Other duties as assigned
