About The Position

This role impacts participants lives by providing essential personal care services and health support. $2500 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment paid in 3 installments. This long-term care facility provides services to a community specifically comprised of deaf seniors. All candidates must be willing to learn American Sign Language (ASL). Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience working with a frail/elderly population or if less than one (1) year of experience, must receive appropriate training from the PACE organization upon hiring.
  • Must be willing to learn American Sign Language (ASL).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to change.
  • Some travel within the region may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • ASL proficiency preferred.
  • Preferred experience in long-term care or geriatric programs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct ongoing participant assessments and monitoring.
  • Provide assistance with daily activities, including toileting, grooming, and meals.
  • Aid in maintaining physical activity and exercise routines.
  • Identify safety hazards and respond to emergencies.
  • Assist with recreational activities, meal service, and housekeeping.
  • Report any changes in participant's condition to center staff.
  • Escort participants to appointments and assist with transportation.
