We are seeking a full-time Personal Care Assistant to join our Adult Behavioral Health program in Harrisburg, PA. Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week); 3 PM–11 PM shift with rotating weekends. Must be available to work every other weekend and holidays Earn $17.33/hour or $19.33/hour with the selection of the Enhanced Pay option. Position Details Our personal care residential workers provide for the safety and welfare of all consumers in the personal care home setting, supporting their mental and physical well-being. They carry out direct care responsibilities while participating in and following the treatment planning process. This role will float between our two personal care homes located in Harrisburg and Steelton.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED OR an active CNA certification in Pennsylvania
- Active and unrestricted driver's license required
- Must be at least 21 years of age
Responsibilities
- Help develop and implement activities and other special projects designed to strengthen independent and community living skills and socialization/leisure time.
- Build on strengths to promote positive growth for the consumer.
- Engage consumers in appropriate life skills to develop abilities to live as independently as possible.
- Accompany consumers on trips outside the facilities for treatment, medical appointments, or any other appropriate activities.
