About The Position
University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team in Romulus, MI. This role involves supporting clients with daily living activities to help them maintain independence and improve their quality of life.
Requirements
- Previous experience in personal care or home health care is not needed but is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately
- Reliable, responsible, and patient
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing
- Provide support with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Help clients with mobility and transfers
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Monitor clients’ health and report any concerns to the care team
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals
