About The Position

AbaCares Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team in Bethlehem, PA. This is a full-time, individual contributor role in the homecare field with a starting salary of $15 per hour. As a PCA, you will provide care and support to individuals with physical or mental disabilities or other medical conditions. You will play a vital role in helping our clients maintain their independence and improve their overall quality of life. MONDAYS TO SUNDAYS - 8 AM - 12 PM

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a healthcare or caregiving role preferred
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate and patient demeanor
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends

Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Provide medication reminders and assistance with medication management
Accompany clients on errands, appointments, and social outings
Help clients with light housekeeping and meal preparation
Monitor clients' physical and mental health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client care
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards of care
Attend training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge
