About The Position

This position involves providing personal care services to individuals in their homes and communities who require assistance due to old age, sickness, disability, or other conditions. The role focuses on delivering care in a respectful manner while adhering to agency policies and industry standards.

Requirements

• Experience in personal care or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to follow care plans and agency policies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and respectful attitude towards clients.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a caregiving role.
• Certification in CPR or first aid.
• Knowledge of dietary restrictions and meal planning.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as ambulation, bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Ensure clients' safety and security by supervising their home environment.
• Teach and perform meal planning and preparation, as well as routine housekeeping activities.
• Provide companionship through social interactions and emotional support.
• Offer respite care for families according to care plans.
• Assist with essential shopping and errands, including handling clients' money under supervision.
• Help clients follow special diet plans and reinforce diet maintenance as needed.
• Escort clients to medical facilities and outings as specified in care plans.
• Assist clients with communication by writing or typing correspondence for them.
• Participate in the Client Care Team by providing input and suggestions.
• Monitor supplies and resources to ensure adequate availability.
• Follow the written care plan and carry out duties assigned by the Branch Manager.
• Observe clients and their environments, reporting unsafe conditions to the Branch Manager.
