About The Position

As a Personal Care Aide (PCA) with Senior Helpers of Cincinnati, you'll provide hands-on personal care to seniors in their homes — helping them maintain their independence while preserving their dignity and comfort. This role is ideal for someone who brings a gentle touch, a calm presence, and a genuine desire to make each client feel safe and respected. Your day may include: Enjoying time with the client doing crafts, watching a movie or even gardening Assisting with bathing, grooming, oral care, and dressing Supporting clients with mobility, transfers, and positioning Providing toileting and incontinence care with compassion and respect Helping with meal preparation and feeding assistance Providing medication reminders Performing light housekeeping and laundry Offering warm companionship and emotional support Documenting and reporting any changes in your client's condition to our caring office team Transporting clients to appointments and errands as needed

Requirements

  • Genuinely cares about the well-being of seniors and wants to make a real difference
  • At least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or GED/equivalent
  • Has reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Pass Background Check
  • Current Auto Insurance
  • Pass a drug test
  • Ability to perform essential physical functions, including lifting up to 50 lbs, assisting with client transfers and repositioning, and standing or walking for extended periods (reasonable accommodations available upon request)
  • Brings a calm, compassionate, and professional presence

Nice To Haves

  • Prior personal care experience (CNA, HHA, or similar)
  • Experience with ADLs, transfers, and hands-on client care
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Experience in-home, assisted living, or facility caregiving

Responsibilities
