Job Summary: As a PCA, you'll be a trusted companion and supportive presence for seniors, providing personal care, assistance, and companionship. Requirements

  • Genuine empathy and commitment to elderly care.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively.
  • Calm, patient and consistent in providing care.
  • Independent decision-making when needed, rooted in team consensus
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain at employer's expense)
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Requires valid State drivers license with a clean driving record.
  • Successful completion of background check, physical, drug screening, TB Screening
  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 25 pounds
  • Must be able to assist with the evacuation of Participants
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience working with the frail and elderly populations preferred, or willing to complete Company paid training to meet this requirement

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, supervision and companionship.
  • Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, transfers and incontinence care.
  • Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation.
  • Travel to Participant homes and escort Participants to appointments as needed as a passenger in company transportation vehicle.
  • Prompt and monitor medications as appropriate.
  • Report Participant needs or changes to the care team.
  • Document care in Alaya Care accurately and consistently.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and follow interdisciplinary team plans.
  • Build strong relationships, offering comfort, dignity and respect.
