Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be over 18 years of age.
• First-aid/CPR certificate.
• Successful completion of the State approved Direct Care Staff Training course.
• Successful completion of the State approved Medication Administration & Diabetic Certification Training course within 6 months.
• Periodic competency testing to maintain certification.
• Flexibility with scheduling.
• Ability to work on a team, addressing the holistic needs of the Geriatric population.
• Demonstrates positive communication skills and ability to relate to staff in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care and daily activities.
• Administer medication as assigned.
• Perform dietary and housekeeping tasks.
• Complete other related functions as assigned by the Team Leader.
