About The Position
The Personal Banker at Wellby is a vital role within the branch banking team, responsible for providing exceptional support and coverage to team members while building and maintaining strong relationships with members. This position is centered around understanding and addressing the financial needs of members, offering tailored solutions such as opening new accounts, providing loan options, and assisting with investment inquiries. The Personal Banker is expected to deliver excellent member service, achieve sales targets, and promote the credit union's diverse range of products and services. In this role, the Personal Banker will engage with members as they enter the branch, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued. This includes managing lobby traffic, checking members into the waiting queue, and scheduling or canceling appointments as necessary. The Personal Banker will collaborate with Branch Partners and other business lines to recommend appropriate products based on the members' financial situations and banking needs. Additionally, the role involves driving proactive sales conversations through various interactions, including outbound calling and effective lobby engagement. The Personal Banker will also handle member service functions such as opening new accounts, processing loan applications, and maintaining compliance with security policies and procedures. This includes adhering to the Bank Secrecy Act and completing mandatory compliance testing. The position may require performing teller transaction functions as needed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all policies and regulations. Overall, the Personal Banker plays a crucial role in enhancing the member experience and contributing to the success of the credit union.
