About The Position

The position involves providing exceptional customer service in accordance with Valley's mission statement. The role requires engaging customers with friendly and professional service, educating them about bank products and services, and cross-selling various offerings. The individual will meet with customers to analyze their financial needs, recommend appropriate products, and assist with opening new accounts and discussing loan products. Additionally, the role includes maintaining service quality standards, coaching branch staff, and participating in community events.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with Valley's mission statement.
  • Engage customers with friendly and professional service.
  • Educate and demonstrate bank products and services to customers.
  • Cross-sell various products and services.
  • Analyze customer needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
  • Meet with customers to analyze financial needs and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Open new accounts, including checking, savings, certificates of deposit, and IRAs.
  • Discuss and sell loan products to existing and prospective customers.
  • Promote and demonstrate online and mobile banking capabilities.
  • Meet customer expectations and achieve service quality standards.
  • Participate in and oversee the sales referral process.
  • Assist management in coaching and mentoring branch staff members.
  • Perform all transactions required by customers and maintain a balanced cash box.
  • Utilize technology such as Teller Scanning Equipment and Cash Recycling machines.
  • Act as Vault Teller and manage branch cash for daily transactions.
  • Assist in community events and support CRA initiatives.
  • Report significant matters and unusual customer activity to the Manager.
  • Maintain knowledge and compliance with the Bank's Code of Conduct and policies.
