About The Position

The position involves assisting Retail Bankers and Managers with sales and servicing activities at First PREMIER Bank. The role focuses on providing support across various areas of the branch, including lobby assistance, and emphasizes the sale and origination of personal loan and deposit accounts. The individual will be responsible for cross-selling bank products and services, processing consumer loans, and ensuring compliance with regulatory expectations.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Retail Banking processes and procedures.
  • Combination of education and experience to meet essential functions and competencies.
  • Appropriate licenses for ancillary products.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in English.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change.
  • Capacity to handle stress and adhere to company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Retail Bankers and Managers with sales and servicing activities.
  • Open deposit accounts, renew Certificates of Deposit, and originate Easy Access lines of credit.
  • Cross-sell additional bank services and refer prospects to Personal Bankers and other departments.
  • Open, close, and maintain safe deposit boxes.
  • Perform consumer loan processing tasks and gather supporting financial information.
  • Complete service events to update customer information and handle inquiries.
  • Assist with call program activities and understand regulatory expectations.
  • Prepare loan documents, board loans, and process disbursements.
  • Notarize documents and perform receptionist duties as needed.
  • Independently prepare and review weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Maintain understanding of bank products and their benefits to customers.
  • Participate in community events to create brand awareness.
  • Meet assigned goals while providing quality customer service.
  • Underwrite small, non-complicated loans and execute loan documents.
  • Process and service business loan requests and assist in training new staff.
  • Expand existing relationships through direct customer contact and outbound sales calls.
