A personal banker is a customer-facing, multi-functional banking professional who combines the roles of a teller and personal banker. They are designed to provide a seamless and comprehensive customer experience by handling a variety of banking tasks and services. Additionally, they assist banking groups with work overflow. Their responsibilities include opening new accounts, assisting customers with transactions, reviewing documents for accuracy and legal compliance, and verifying the identity of account holders.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in banking or a client-facing financial services role
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build long-term relationships
• Demonstrated ability to assess customer needs and offer tailored solutions
• Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements
• Strong problem-solving skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Comfortable using and explaining online banking platforms and mobile apps
• Able to operate and troubleshoot ATMs and other branch technology
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Quick learner with a continuous improvement mindset and ability to adapt to new systems
