As a Personal Banker, you’ll serve as a trusted resource for new and existing customers by identifying financial needs and recommending appropriate banking products and services. This role blends customer service with sales and lending responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous customer service experience required; banking experience preferred
  • Strong sales and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally
  • Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
  • Knowledge of banking products and services preferred

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships by interviewing customers to understand financial needs and goals
  • Open and maintain deposit accounts, including IRAs and HSAs
  • Educate customers on banking products, digital tools, and associated fees
  • Take and process consumer loan applications, including credit analysis and loan closing
  • Ensure all lending and account activities comply with bank policies and regulations
  • Support customers with digital banking, fraud prevention, and account maintenance
  • Maintain and monitor IRA and HSA accounts for accuracy and compliance
  • Process specialized account requests, including decedent accounts
  • Follow up on past due loans and assist with account resolution
  • Partner with Treasury Management team to refer business services
