As a Personal Banker, you’ll serve as a trusted resource for new and existing customers by identifying financial needs and recommending appropriate banking products and services. This role blends customer service with sales and lending responsibilities.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous customer service experience required; banking experience preferred
Strong sales and relationship-building skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally
Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
Knowledge of banking products and services preferred

Responsibilities

Build relationships by interviewing customers to understand financial needs and goals
Open and maintain deposit accounts, including IRAs and HSAs
Educate customers on banking products, digital tools, and associated fees
Take and process consumer loan applications, including credit analysis and loan closing
Ensure all lending and account activities comply with bank policies and regulations
Support customers with digital banking, fraud prevention, and account maintenance
Maintain and monitor IRA and HSA accounts for accuracy and compliance
Process specialized account requests, including decedent accounts
Follow up on past due loans and assist with account resolution
Partner with Treasury Management team to refer business services
