The Personal Banker is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service in line with Valley's mission. This role involves educating customers on all bank products and services, cross-selling various offerings, and analyzing financial needs to recommend appropriate solutions. Key duties include opening new accounts (checking, savings, CDs, IRAs), discussing and selling loan products, and promoting/demonstrating online and mobile banking. The Personal Banker is expected to meet service quality standards, participate in sales referral processes, and assist management in coaching branch staff. Additionally, the role requires performing customer transactions efficiently using technology, maintaining and balancing a cash box, and acting as a Vault Teller to manage branch cash. Participation in community events and support for CRA initiatives are also part of the responsibilities. The Personal Banker must report significant matters to management and maintain compliance with the Bank's Code of Conduct and all policies and procedures.
