The Personal Banker at KeyBank serves as a problem solver, trusted advisor, and partner to individuals and businesses within the community. This role involves engaging clients in deep conversations to understand their financial needs and provide guidance and solutions to enhance their financial wellness, both in person and through proactive calling efforts. As an integral part of the branch team, the Personal Banker is responsible for attracting new clients and expanding relationships with existing ones, aligning with their unique financial goals to foster confidence in their finances. This position requires a client-first, sales-driven, self-motivated, and competitive individual with strong teamwork, communication, and confidence. Key responsibilities include embodying a strong client experience culture, identifying financial wellness opportunities, and providing customized recommendations. The role demands consistent attainment of individual activity, behavior, and outcome goals. Personal Bankers open various personal and business accounts, including consumer checking, small business accounts, deposit products, home equity, unsecured lending, and certificates of deposit. They are expected to develop strong partnerships with branch teammates and other line of business partners to focus on client acquisition and relationship deepening, effectively managing internal and external centers of influence. Ensuring compliance with operational, risk, security, and audit procedures, including proper documentation of client interactions, is crucial. The Personal Banker also supports branch operations by assisting with client transactions on the Teller line as needed, participates in morning huddles and end-of-day debriefs, and works on Saturdays as directed by management. All duties must be performed in compliance with KeyBank policies and procedures, maintaining professionalism, ethical conduct, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key.
