About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) for their National Branch Network as part of the Consumer Banking and Lending division. This role involves delivering an exceptional customer experience by building relationships through proactive outreach and proposing appropriate products, services, and digital solutions to help customers succeed financially. The Associate Personal Banker will assist customers with basic requests such as opening new accounts, completing service requests, and submitting credit applications. They will receive direction from managers, exercise judgment within defined policies and procedures, and develop an understanding of bank products and services to meet customer needs. The position requires interacting with customers to demonstrate care, build relationships, provide suitable options for bank products and services, and refer customers' financial needs to other bankers and partners. This SAFE position involves customer contact and duties that may include offering/negotiating terms and/or taking applications for dwelling-secured transactions, requiring compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations. Ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting all such requirements, including acceptable background investigation results. Individuals in a SAFE position must also meet the Loan Originator (LO) requirements under Regulation Z.

Requirements

  • 6+ months of interacting with customers experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations
  • Meeting the Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO)
  • Ability to work a schedule that may include most Saturdays
  • SAFE registration at the time of employment
  • Meeting applicable financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness and criminal background standards (for LO positions)
  • Meeting ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening, if necessary

  • Relevant military experience including working in personnel benefits management, processing military personnel orders or transitions, wartime readiness operations, human resources or military recruiting
  • Proficient with proactively sourcing, acquiring, building, and maintaining relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Support customers and employees in resolving or escalating concerns or complaints
