About The Position

FirsTier Bank is a family-owned community bank currently servicing 12 branch markets throughout Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska. We are currently searching for a Personal Banker to join our Fort Collins, Colorado team. Enjoy a rewarding career while providing exceptional service to our valued customers. Job Description: The Personal Banker will be the first point of contact for customers, both in person and over the telephone. The Personal Banker provides superior customer service, in a friendly and courteous manner.

Requirements

  • Customer Service & Cash Handling: 2 years (required)
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent math skills.
  • Trustworthiness and the ability to act with integrity.
  • Thorough understanding of customer service.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • May need to stand for long periods of time.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience working directly with the public preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • FISERV or FIS experience desired

Responsibilities

  • Cashes checks and disburses funds after verifying signatures and sufficiency of funds to support withdrawals.
  • Accepts deposits, confirming accuracy of transaction.
  • Prepares, verifies, and issues cashiers’ checks.
  • Enters transactions in bank’s recordkeeping system, recording all transactions and producing customer receipts.
  • Calculates daily transactions using appropriate technology.
  • Balances all monies in cash drawers at the end of shifts.
  • Maintains a work area that ensures the safety of all negotiable instruments and confidential records.
  • Answers customer inquiries and refers customers to appropriate personnel.
  • Provides information and answers questions regarding bank products, services, interest rates, fees and bank policies.
  • Ability to open a variety of new accounts for customers including checking, certificates of deposits, savings, IRA’s and others.
  • Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to promote new banking services.
  • Use the essential skills of effective communication and listening to meet the financial needs of customers and develop customer relationships.
  • Other duties as assigned by branch management.
