The Personal Banker is responsible for acquiring and deepening the branch customer base through proactive sales and service activities. This involves managing the customer experience by identifying opportunities to improve financial well-being and collaborating with ecosystem partners to increase customer's share of wallet. The role focuses on positioning PNC solutions to drive new revenue and customer loyalty through various interactions, including outbound calling, service to sales, teller interactions, appointment setting, and effective lobby engagement. Personal Bankers deliver comprehensive PNC conversations to identify appropriate solutions, leverage partnerships and community Centers of Influence to acquire, expand, and retain relationships, and create customer loyalty through a differentiated experience. They also educate customers on managing financial transactions using technology and resources, apply product and procedural knowledge to solve customer problems, and manage risk by adhering to policies and procedures. Participation in daily branch operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy, is also a key aspect of the role. Employees are expected to be customer-focused, aligning decisions with customer needs, and adept at managing risk according to PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

Requirements

  • Associates or equivalent degree as well as related experience or product knowledge to accomplish primary duties.
  • Typically requires 3+ years experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
  • Candidates being considered for this position will be subject to additional background checks as required by Consumer Financial Protection Bureau regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Acquires and deepens the branch customer base through a variety of proactive sales and service activities.
  • Manages the customer experience by identifying opportunities to improve the customer's financial wellbeing.
  • Collaborates with ecosystem partners to grow customer's share of wallet.
  • Positions PNC solutions to drive new revenue and customer loyalty.
  • Drives proactive sales conversations through internal and outbound interactions with a defined sales process including outbound calling, service to sales, teller interactions, appointment setting and effective lobby engagement, ultimately elevating client loyalty.
  • Delivers a full PNC conversation with every client interaction to identify appropriate PNC solutions.
