About The Position

The Personal Banker at Peoples Security Bank & Trust is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while meeting the financial needs of the community. This role involves processing various customer transactions, balancing cash drawers, and providing support for day-to-day branch operations. The Personal Banker also plays a key role in referring clients to appropriate banking services and ensuring compliance with banking regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or General Banking Diploma preferred.
• Training in customer service and effective communication practices is needed.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate across various channels (face-to-face, email, video conference, etc.).
• Good interpersonal relationship skills and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Sound knowledge of branch transactional tasks and operations.
• Conversant in the bank's products and services.
• Proficient in the use of various types of technology and software.
• Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a related position.

Responsibilities

• Process various customer transactions efficiently and accurately, including checks, deposits, withdrawals, and payments.
• Balance cash drawer, night deposits, and service the ATM.
• Serve as back-up for vault-related and ancillary operational duties.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking regulations to ensure compliance.
• Provide exemplary customer service and address client inquiries regarding deposit accounts and loan activity.
• Research and resolve more complicated client matters with available resources.
• Refer clients and prospects to appropriate partners for additional banking services.
