About The Position

As a Personal Banker II, you will provide exceptional service by processing banking transactions and building strong customer relationships. This role involves understanding customer needs and offering appropriate financial products and services, while also educating customers on various banking channels. You will work in a team environment to support the banking center's transactional needs and assist clients with a range of banking services.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; college coursework preferred.
• Previous banking or demonstrated sales experience in business, retail, or other industries.
• 1-year cash handling experience in a banking or retail environment preferred (2+ years if level II).
• Foundational knowledge of sales and service techniques with consumers and small businesses in a structured, goal-based environment preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the transactional needs of the banking center and other lines of business.
• Open and process moderate to complex consumer and basic small business deposit accounts.
• Identify opportunities to deepen customer relationships.
• Limited origination of simple consumer lending products such as personal loans and credit cards.
• Educate customers on online and mobile banking, interactive tellers, and full-service ATMs.
• Meet or exceed individual sales/referrals and activity objectives.
• Handle cash and adhere to proper balancing procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of products, fees, policies, and current offers to assist customers.
• Explore customer financial needs and recommend bank services or refer to other departments as appropriate.
• Demonstrate compliance with all applicable bank regulations.
• Engage in Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) activities and financial literacy initiatives.
