About The Position

Rio Bank is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Personal Banker to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. As a Personal Banker you will be a brand ambassador, providing exceptional customer service and building lasting relationships with our valued customers. You will play a crucial role in delivering a seamless and efficient experience, handling a variety of transactions and assisting customers with their accounts. As a Personal Banker you will be responsible for understanding a customer's financial needs, guiding them through the account opening process and conducting a variety of transactions. You will often be the customer's primary point of contact regarding their accounts. You will be supported by various departments and work collaboratively with other banking professionals to deliver comprehensive financial solutions and enhanced customer experiences.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One (1) or more years of experience in a customer service or sales role, preferably in a financial institution
  • One (1) or more years of cash handling experience, preferably in a financial institution
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to make effective decisions under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Some college experience
  • Knowledge of banking rules and regulations
  • Bilingual abilities to serve diverse clientele
  • Personal Banker experience, including teller experience

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to understand their financial needs and recommend appropriate banking solutions
  • Open a variety of new accounts, including checking, savings, and CDs and assist customers with inquiries regarding their accounts
  • Process retail and commercial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals and check cashing
  • Educate customers on various banking products, services and digital banking tools to enhance customer relationships
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with banking regulations
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and satisfaction
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Maintain a good record of attendance and punctuality
