As a Personal Banker I, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our customers by processing routine banking transactions while also fostering deep customer relationships. This position requires a thoughtful understanding of customer needs, allowing you to identify and offer the most suitable personal and business financial products and services. You will educate customers on alternative and convenient transaction channels, ensuring they are aware of all available options. The Personal Banker I will operate within a universal banking model, assisting clients with a wide range of needs, making this role both dynamic and rewarding. This position is on-site, emphasizing the importance of face-to-face interactions in building trust and rapport with customers. In this role, you will support the transactional needs of the banking center and other lines of business, while also identifying opportunities to deepen customer relationships. You will be responsible for opening and processing moderate to complex consumer and basic small business deposit accounts, providing appropriate solutions and services to help businesses manage their cash flow effectively. Working collaboratively in a team environment, you will engage frequently with both teammates and customers, ensuring a cohesive approach to service delivery. Your responsibilities will also include the limited origination of simple consumer lending products such as personal loans and credit cards. You will educate customers on various bank channels, including online and mobile banking, interactive video tellers, and full-service ATMs, which enhance convenience and value for our customers. Meeting or exceeding individual sales and referral objectives will be a key performance indicator, measured through an individual sales and referral scorecard. You will handle cash transactions and adhere to proper balancing procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all banking regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and Regulation CC. Additionally, you will maintain a thorough knowledge of products, fees, policies, and current offers to assist customers effectively. Exploring customers' financial needs and recommending other bank services will be essential, as will referring customers to other departments when appropriate. You will also have the opportunity to create a positive impact within the communities you serve by participating in Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) activities and financial literacy initiatives, further enhancing the bank's reputation and commitment to community engagement.
