About The Position

Salus Homecare is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide one-on-one care to clients in various Southern California cities, including Oceanside, Carlsbad, La Costa, Encinitas, Solana Beach, Carmel Valley, and La Jolla. The agency offers flexible scheduling with 4, 8, and 12-hour shifts available 7 days a week, covering both day and night shifts. Salus Homecare is a trusted homecare agency serving Orange County and is committed to making a difference in people's lives. A $200 sign-on bonus is offered, payable after working 250 hours within 6 months.

Requirements

Homecare Aide Certification (HCA) - This is a CA State requirement which involves registering as a Personal Attendant and providing Livescan fingerprints for a FBI Background check (Salus can help with this process if not currently certified)
TB Test - Must be within 90 days of start
Must be able to legally work within the USA
Physical capability to perform all job functions
Safe driving record and valid auto insurance if you will be driving with clients
Ability to speak, write, and read English is a requirement

Responsibilities

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's) including bathing, grooming, personal care, feeding / meal prep, toileting, ambulation, medication reminders, social interaction, and more
Be oriented and well trained on ALL aspects of the client’s Plan of Care
Meal Prep and cooking
Assist clients with LIGHT housekeeping (vacuuming, sweeping, changing linens, laundry, etc)
Drive clients to and from medical appointments, grocery store, etc
