About The Position

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES PIC associates are generally responsible for: Providing customer service as defined by company policy. Handling emergencies, customer complaints, and associate/customer accidents. Supervising all store personnel during assigned shifts. Maintaining familiarity with company policies and procedures. Monitoring the sales floor for service and product replenishment. Restocking displays near checkout areas. Assisting in maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Performing basic office functions to assist customers and staff. Completing end-of-day office functions (as assigned). Counting out-of-stock products (as assigned). Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow company customer service procedures.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills or related experience.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Knowledge of all store positions.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to maintain professionalism.
  • Understanding of company practices and department policies.
  • Frequent reaching, lifting, and maneuvering objects up to 50 lbs; frequent bending, stooping, and repetitive arm movements.
  • Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; ability to stand for long periods.
  • Mental alertness for safe and accurate work completion.
  • Basic math skills; knowledge of weights, measures, product standards, perishability, sanitation, labeling, and department policies.
  • Ability to operate telephone, pallet jack, hand truck, knives, scissors, safety cutters, Sterilox machine, and cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to use computer software and electronic ordering devices; basic knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and email.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays; variable schedule; good attendance required.
  • Awareness of potential hazards related to equipment and work aids.
